Homeward (A Trip to Turkey)

An excerpt from my journal reads:

"Dinner tonight was a highlight of the trip.  Travelers from Switzerland, Germany, USA, Canada, South Africa, and Korea enjoyed a great Turkish meal.  Conversation was enriching and inspiring.  We have all converged together; lives from afar connecting for a brief moment.  Might influence run free.  Each has a story, a place having come from and a place yet to go to.  Each has a hope, a dream, a face of optimism.  It is with people and in moments like these that my spirit senses a sort of home."

In thinking through our recent trip to Turkey I am reminded what home is.  We, The Kingdom, are also just passing through.  The heart of journeying is in us, yet we desire home.  Home is not found in houses and yards but in those who are traveling with us and in He who travels beside us.
